Data Engineer

Our client, a scaling SaaS tech firm are growing their data team, and are seeking an experienced Data Engineer. With an incredibly collaborative culture and way of working, you will work with a variety of engineers, scientists and developers to drive the platform and company forward.
  
As the brand new Data Engineer, you will use your tech expertise to contribute to the success of the data team. Working across the entire data lifecycle, you will be building and maintaining pipelines, collaborating with other tech teams and working closely with stakeholders. 
  
What You’ll Do

• You will be across everything data and big-data related, and be able to design, develop and maintain data pipelines
• You’ll be working with complex data sets, and working to optimise data storage, automating processes and provide an environment for accurate and efficient queries.
• You have a passion for the ethical use and maintenance of data

  
Who You Are

• You’ve got a degree in IT, preferably Data focussed
• You've got very strong SQL experience
• You've used Python (or related) as an ETL tool
• You love working with the cloud, specifically the AWS stack
• Big Data framework experience is nice to have
• Serverless pipeline tool exposure is an advantage
