ETL Developer / Database Developer / BI Developer / Long term Contracts / Start in January 2021
We are looking for 4 x ETL Database Developers to join a global tech/data company scaling up their Sydney team for several new projects in 2021.
You will bring deep specialist knowledge and expertise in the design, build, and maintenance of ETL/Data/BI systems.
They are looking for developers who are very strong with Bash/ Python / Linux / SQL- any exposure or capability with big data tools is highly desirable - Hive, Hadoop etc

Key Skills
- Strong experience in BI, reporting, data, and databases
- Strong experience in Bash and Python scripting in Linux/Unix environment
- Experience in Hive/Spark/Hadoop (ETL development)
- Strong experience in SQL scripting; T-SQL or similar (SQL Server), and PostgreSQL, stored procedure experience and/or other BI and reporting development environments
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI)
- Excellent data cleansing, quality, profiling, modeling, integration skills.
- Development of new and existing data models (using Kimball methodologies (Star Schema, Snowflake)
- SCM/CI experience – SVN/Git & Jenkins preferable
- A good understanding of database architecture and database design
- Ability to collaborate on a team with infrastructure, development, business analyst and other resources, and clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical team members
- Able to work to tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and critical thinking skills
Highly Desirable
- Exposure to .NET (C#) development
- Apache Airflow
- Knowledge of the FMCG business domain
