Experience Designer | Service Designer
 
We are looking for an Experience/Service designer to lead the end-to-end design of premium, forward-thinking experiences for one of Australia’s most iconic brands. A crucial role in their Digital team, responsible for defining the experience and service design for a number of products.
 
 
As the Experience and Service Designer, you will be responsible for driving design innovations to meet objectives and goals, for integrating the entire journey through a suite of digital features and tools that customers find compelling and valuable. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Defining, championing and executing the digital experience and service design for the entire customer journey, which forms part of their Digital strategy
  • Applying and executing advanced design theory techniques to ensure the customer journey is seamless
  • Creating and continuously optimising digital-wide systems to ensure consistent application and approach across each feature, to promote consistent and unified experiences
  • Identifying key opportunities for features or products that address any customer needs and offer business value or operational benefit
  • Developing, owning and championing the customer journey map, which profiles and charts key customer moments and attributes across the end-to-end experience
  • Designing, leading and facilitating strategic innovation and design workshops with stakeholders to solve complex customer and operational problems
  • Leading key strategic design initiatives which advance our digital-wide and customer-wide design capability
  • Championing experience and service design across digital and the wider organisation, showcasing work and insight
 Key Experience:
  • 5+ years’ in a Service Design, UX role 
  • Tertiary qualification in a design, HCI, psychology or research role 
  • Exposure to and a solid understanding of UX design for responsive web, apps and other digital interfaces 
  • Engaging facilitation with proven success  
  • Experience solving design problems of significant strategic importance, in large, complex organisations 
  • Familiarity and experience modern frameworks, and their associated techniques and rituals: Lean, Design Thinking, Scrum, Kanban 
  • Ability to express and present meaningful opinions regarding UX design to all stakeholders, adapting tone to suit the audience 
  • Deep understanding of usability and accessibility standards, particularly WCAG 2.0 AA compliance 
  • Knowledge of the latest UX best practices and commitment to stay up-to-date 
  • Experience conceptualising and problem-solving, wire-framing, persona development, user stories and user testing 
  • Ability to think strategically in response to the brief and brand to create effective and innovative outcomes 
  • Ability to understand and focus objectives and deliverables at the technical and creative level with a user-centric approach 
  • Experience with using and creating user interface design patterns 
  • A strong sense of time management, deadlines, and the ability to adapt diverse challenges and competing priorities 
  • Great accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Skills using industry tools such as Sketch, lnVision, and the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence 
  • Extensive industry knowledge of current digital design standards and trends 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment 
  • Ability to work effectively and handle pressure when necessary
