Lead Data Engineer | Spark & Talend Specialist

Our client is a very well known and respected financial institution that has been going from strength to strength. Due to expansion, they are looking for a driven individual, with strong Data Engineering expertise, and proven leadership experience to lead a small team working across tools such as Spark and Talend. 

This is a 6 month contract with likely extensions to be offered.

You will need:

• Excellent hands-on Big Data Engineering skills, working with tools such as Spark & Talend. 
• Experience with SQL is necessary, and experience with tools such as Python/Scala/Java etc. will be advantageous
• Previous team leadership experience is highly preffered, but a strong Senior looking to transition into a Lead position may be considered
• A passion for completing work to the highest standards in line with best practice will be necessary
• Cloud experience, with tools such as GCP/AWS/Azure will be highly regarded
