Operational Support Lead -  Digital Platforms -  Long Term Contract - 12months +

We are working with an amazing team who have gone through significant growth over the past 12 months and are now looking for an Operations Support Lead -   Digital

This is a key role and you will help lead & develop a team of support engineers onshore & offshore. You will be responsible for the management and prioritisation of escalations and work closely with the team to ensure these are seamless. You will also work with managers and team members in the development of operational frameworks and IP within your team to set the team up for success as well as devise operations solutions and guide operational decisions that support business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for escalation, service restoration & Incident Management of Applications and Systems, across all digital platforms
  • You will maintain the cloud hosting environment, security, monitoring, and patching 
  • Work with the team and the managers with the prioritisation of tech debt via backlogs
  • Provide consultancy and advisory SME expertise to team members and squads for initiatives & enhancements
  • Provide guidance & insight on progress and process for all new and modified products & services
  • Lead improvements in service management backed by your experience, knowledge, trends & data & metrics
  • Own & maintain the companies alerting & monitoring capability, ensuring best practice and standards are always met
  • Ensure you & your team maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development standard methodologies
  • Continuous delivery of Tech operational support services
  • Own and manage the onboarding of new technology of products and services 
Key Skills:
  • Min 3 years proven experience leading a high performing team onshore & offshore 
  • Strong technical background managing multiple technology platforms with a broad understanding of C#, .NET, MS SQL, Azure, Powershell, Python, Unix, ElasticSearch, MS API, Akamai, Cloudflare, UC4, Databricks, AppInsights, AppDynamics, Angular, Datalakes
  • Proven experience working within DevOpsSec, Continuous Delivery, Agile and ITIL framework using tools such as Jira, ServiceNow & Azure DevOps
  • Strong technical operations experience working in a retail/digital landscape
  • Min 5 years experience in Cloud resource management with strong focus on security, monitoring, and patching
  • Software development experience with: Python, Linux/Unix, DotNet is highly regarded
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and offer alternatives
  • Experience with data security, access controls, and encryption
  • Experience working with Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data
  • Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodology, disciplines and procedures, and evidence, or ability, to help/guide others on processes
This is a long term contract and on offer is an initial 12 months with a view to extending. This is a huge program of works and you will be working with all the latest tools and tech in a high performing team. This is an immediate need and they are holding interviews next week.
