Platform Engineer - AWS

We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join a well known Fintech business based in the CBD

You will have access to the latest tools and technologies with a view to build and maintain their digital platform.

You will be an AWS and Kube SME unifying the engineering and development teams.

About You

• Extensive AWS services and operations
• SME across the Kubernetes ecosystem 
• IaC expert
• Linux background
• Experience with Kafka
• Solid understanding of networking and security
• Monitoring and alerts
• CI, TeamCity, Octopus, Gitlab and bitbucket
• Expert knowledge of at least one programming language

You will;

• Leverage expertise in platform tools to support developers and SRE engineers
• Recommend and assist with architectural changes to improve performance, reliability and security across the organisation
• Implement monitoring and alerting covering infrastructure and services
• Identify gaps and drive roadmaps for various platform systems
• Spearhead implementation of major projects by guiding the architecture and implementation details
• Contribute infrastructure code, automation tools and CICD pipelines for the platform team
• Be proactive by identifying gaps, prioritizing and making suggestions
• Explore new technologies and share your findings with the engineering team
• Perform effective code reviews and help in coaching and mentoring junior engineers

You will be a key member of the team so genuine stakeholder management is key to the successful candidate.
