Senior Backend Developer- Design-Led Start Up

We have partnered with an innovative, design-led creative start-up to find a talented Senior Backend Developer to join the team. This exciting role will see you leading backend development efforts and supporting infrastructure across a remote team of developers located around Australia.

About the Role:

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will:

• Lead the backend development and support the infrastructure needs of the company.
• Work across Node.js, Terraform and AWS.
• Collaborate closely with a remote team of developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable backend systems.
• Optimise existing codebases and infrastructure for performance and reliability.
• Ensure the security and integrity of backend services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead backend development projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to create cohesive and efficient systems.
• Maintain and improve existing backend systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the backend infrastructure remains cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a focus on Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in backend development languages and frameworks.
• Experience with infrastructure support and maintenance.
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
