Job description
I have an opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to move into a formalised leadership role with a well known Aussie brand, based either in Sydney or Melbourne.
You will have the opportunity to lead a Data ENgineering team on a business-critical Machine Learning project. You will remain hands-on with pipeline development, deployment and maintenance, whilst also leading and mentoring your team, and developing the squad into a high performing unit.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers
- Build and deploy data pipelines on the GCP cloud, utilising Python and Spark
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Partner with other various technical teams
Who You Are
- Python and Spark expert - you have a lot of experience with these languages
- Degree qualified
- A great communicator with some leadership experience
- Comfortable working with and have knowledge of Machine Learning models
- A passionate cloud engineer
