We are working with a world-class tech giant that is embarking on a multi-million dollar greenfield project and is looking for a passionate Senior Product Manager to join the business. You will play a key role in their Digital Transformation, through the work you and your squad will deliver and by championing a new way of working with the business. You will have complete ownership of your product from end to end.

Working closely as a team you will be responsible for maximising the business value of a squad’s work and prioritising the backlog. You will be a servant leader to your squad encouraging devolved decision making and putting the needs of customers and the team first. You will play a key role and develop relationships and foster collaboration and partnerships between the company and its brands so that teams operate and collaborate seamlessly.

In this role you will help with the expansion of their capabilities into the web and app channels, focusing on how to build engaging experiences for their customers with the most relevant offers, products and services for their needs. In their role as a Senior Product Manager and leader, you will succeed through your depth of understanding of what personalisation means for customers and how to build that into digital customer experiences. 

Your Role
 
  • Step change our capability in creating and optimising personalised experiences for their customers
  • Drive a measurable increase in incremental sales delivered through personalised channels
  • Support the delivery of the overall personalisation business case by managing squad costs and delivering agreed sales benefits
  • Contribute towards improvements in the companies VOC scores for personalisation across digital channels
  • Increase the breadth of personalised product recommendations through improved insights and actions based on product and customer data
  • Develop the ways of working between the squad and other personalisation squads.
  • Create the environment for the squad to be high performing
 

Your Responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the ongoing health of the squad, ensuring that it is set up to deliver end-to-end outcomes, providing coaching & feedback, and ensuring resources are planned effectively and are fully utilised.
  • Ensures that the squad has engaged with customer personas, insights and feedback during the delivery of their work. A clear link between insights and action development and continual optimisation should be visible.
  • Maintain the roadmap to drive the development of new features and functionality.
  • Ensuring the squad backlog is clearly expressed and visible, transparent and clear to all.
  • Ensuring that backlog items are “ready” for a team to deliver.
  • Defining milestones and ensuring delivery to plan.
  • Responsible for maximising the value of the work done by: Identifying the value of each epic to ensure that the right value is being delivered at the right time.
  • Ordering the squad backlog to maximise the value of the squad's output.
  • Achieving sales and performance OKRs
  • Work with other product managers and senior product managers to ensure that their squad backlog is prioritised appropriately to meet cross-team dependencies.
  • Works closely with the squad to remove impediments and “roadblocks” for the squad.
  • Decide whether the work the squad has delivered is ready for release.
  • Work with the squad to define criteria for work to be released.
  • Accountable for the quality of the squad’s released work
What you will bring to the role.

  • +5 years experience in digital or retail businesses with experience in leading teams to build and continuously improve compelling customer offerings.
  • You will be able to look at market trends and technology and bring this to the business to make sure you stay ahead of the curve and ensure your squad hits its objectives 
  • Utilise data and all it has to offer to provide insights that can help you shape the product and also keep ahead of trends and make sure the customer is getting the best experience possible
  • You have excellent experience in Lifecycle management. You can create and incorporate appealing value propositions in products leading to market success.
  • Strategically aware and able to define and align your area strategy based on emerging factors that are used to provide focus for the squad(s).
  • You will have strong Business and Financial Acumen. You can be entrusted with critical decisions and make financial trade-offs that impact the ROI of the Squads
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills. Experience with Vendor Management, you will be able to lead and own the vendor selection process and ongoing management to help ensure successful delivery of the best outcome.
  • Experience working across and/ or leading at least 2 relevant functional areas: data engineering, data science, technology, data management, analytics or database marketing
  • Demonstrable ability to build collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, both within the squad and across the wider business
  • Develops teams that set and deliver to high standards, drive innovation and create value autonomously, while living our culture and values.  Strong ability to prioritise, balancing delivery in the short-term while supporting the overall tribe strategy
  • Experience working in an agile organisation or with cross-functional agile teams
