Contract opportunity for a Data Engineer to join one of the most exciting digital transformations in one of Australia’s largest banks.
As a Data Engineer, you will utilise your Big Data engineering skillset to build, deploy and maintain data pipelines to assist with a large digital transformation project. You will be shifting the entire warehouse to the cloud, before introducing a real-time streaming platform.

As a Data Engineer, you will utilise your Big Data engineering skillset to build, deploy and maintain data pipelines to assist with a large digital transformation project. You will be shifting the entire warehouse to the cloud, before introducing a real-time streaming platform.
What You’ll Do
- You will design and develop Big Data solutions that can be easily scaled
- You will have a strong focus on stakeholders and the requirement gathering process
- You’ll be building pipelines to transfer large amounts of data into a cloud-based data warehouse
- You will be able to collaborate closely with other technical teams
- You will thrive in an agile, cloud environment
- Tertiary degree in IT, Science or a related field
- Strong experience working with AWS S3 and Redshift
- Strong experience (3+ years) across Hadoop, Spark and Hive
- A passion for agile
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools and processes
