Job description

My client, one of the true data leaders in their industry, is seeking to add 3 Data Engineers to their highly regarded and high-performing data team.

The team is regarded as an industry leader, and rightly so. They were early adopters of Azure Synapse and are one of Databricks’ premier technology partners. All this means you will have the opportunity to work on one of Australia’s most advanced Azure Data ecosystems, and what is regarded as one of Australia’s largest data warehouses.

As a Data Engineer in the team, you will have the opportunity to work on some incredible projects that are critical to the day-to-day and strategic operations of the business. Data and its potential has been leveraged completely and the leadership team is “all in” on data, and as such, the team and their projects are at the forefront of new initiatives.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines within Azure Data Factory, Synapse Warehouse and Databricks Lakehouse.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure your deliverables are meeting their requirements.
  • Engineering data solutions in accordance with DevOps and CI/CD principles
  • Developing and maintaining data engineering best practice
  • Assisting with Solution Design to meet business and technical requirements.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong experience on Azure Cloud, ideally with Synapse, Data Factory and Databricks
  • Strong understanding of and practical experience engineering Data Pipelines using Python
  • An understanding of Azure DevOps, GitHub or other Code Management or deployment tools, as well as working according to CI/CD and DevOps principles
  • Advanced Stakeholder management and engagement skills
These roles are very rewarding and you will work on amazing projects that are helping to shape the industry in which you will work, however, the team has a culture of high performance and the role will not be easy. As a result, you will be compensated with a market-leading package and an environment where you are treated fairly, professionally and with respect.

Please note – this position is open to Perth, Sydney and Melbourne candidates. We also require applicants to have full working rights and at least 2 Covid-19 vaccinations.

This is a very urgent role with a short interview process. Please reach out to Andrew de Roos at andrew@thedrivegroup.com.au for more information.
