Lead Data Engineer

Contract opportunity for an Azure focussed Data Engineer to grow your leadership skillset.
  
Our client, a leading data consultancy, is seeking a Data Engineer to lead projects and technical teams on a variety of Data Engineering projects. You will work closely with the business to establish requirements and then lead the project’s activities and deliverables.
  
What You’ll Do
  

• You will lead the project direction and the day-to-day development activities
• Be a thought leader within the team, as you align the technical efforts with best practices, as well as drive innovation and improvement.
• You’ll contribute to the design, development and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise platform

  
Who You Are
  

• You have a tertiary degree in IT, Data or a related field
• You have strong cloud data experience, preferably in Azure (Data Factory, Databricks etc)
• Strong SQL, Data Analysis and ETL/ELT knowledge and experience
• Experience leading projects or delivery teams
• You have contributed to the design and have built data platforms
• Strong stakeholder relationship skills
• A passion for learning new technology, and how they can contribute to the success of the project.
