Our client, a global organisation, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the marketing and communication efforts for one of their business units.
  
This newly created position is crucial for developing and executing strategic marketing plans, enhancing brand presence, and ensuring consistent internal and external communication. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in marketing and communications, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in an individual contributor role to drive business growth and engagement.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that align with the business unit’s goals and objectives.
  • Brand Management: Enhance and maintain the brand identity of the business unit, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
  • Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and analyse marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media, to drive brand awareness, customer engagement and acquisition.
  • Content Creation: Creation of high-quality content, including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, social media updates, and marketing collateral.
  • PR & Media Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and manage public relations efforts to enhance the business unit's visibility and reputation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Manage internal and external communications, ensuring clear, consistent, and effective messaging across all stakeholder groups.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communication efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate events, including town hall talks and webinars to promote the business unit and engage with target audiences.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and the wider corporate communications team, to ensure alignment and support for marketing initiatives.
  
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably someone with experience in an individual contributor role.
  
Skills:
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
  • Background in retail or third-party logistics (3PL) is a bonus.
  
This position is based in Sydney and operates a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office.
