Position: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Operations and Automation Focus
Location: Sydney

Role Overview: As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our operations and automation initiatives. Your responsibilities will be evenly split between maintaining the reliability of our systems and driving efficiency through automation.

1. Operations (50%):
  • Monitor and ensure the overall health, availability, and performance of our systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system architecture for reliability.
2. Automation (50%):
  • Develop, implement, and maintain automated processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and manual processes.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (e.g., Python, Shell, Ansible).
  • Strong experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and system performance.
